A Call for Quilts

Quilts needed for the Alameda County Arts Commission Exhibit

It’s time to show off your quilting creativity and skill at the four-month exhibit (Oct 28 – Feb 20)at the Alameda County Administration Building. This exhibit is a collaboration between EBHQ and the Alameda County Arts Commission to show our members’ quilts.

For the exhibit, we are looking for 35 vibrant quilts (not previously shown at this venue) in a wide range of styles and dimensions. Quilts can be up to 60” in height and of any width; it must have a hanging sleeve and label.


Deadline to enter: September 30 at the EBHQ Education Session.

Each quilt must have an Application and Waiver Form associated with it. (Click here for forms)

You may submit your quilts (with the Application/Waiver) to Kathy Bowden at one of the following events

Sat, Aug 17 Drop-In, between 9 a.m. and noon

Mon, Aug 26 Educational Session, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Sat, Sep 21 Drop-In, between 9 a.m. and noon, (see Joan Sextro)

Mon, Sep 30 Educational Session, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

or by special arrangements with Kathy Bowden (925-885-9144).

Drop-Ins convene at the Albany United Methodist Church, 980 Stannage, Albany (at the corner of Marin and Stannage Avenue). Entrance is through the wooden gate on Stannage.

Educational Sessions convene at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1 Lawson Road, Kensington.
