Quilt Shows

EBHQ offers members a chance to show their quilts throughout the year. In recent years our work has been shown in the Addison Street Windows Gallery in downtown Berkeley, at the Berkeley Main Public Library, at an annual show in the Alameda County Building and at our centerpiece biennial extravaganza, "Voices in Cloth."

To see some of these presentations, hover over this website's Gallery Tab.

2017 Show & Tell

Fall is just around the corner and so is our annual Show and Tell night on November 27, where our members get to show off their fabulous creations, get a photo taken, and let other guild members delight in seeing these wonderful quilts and garments.

This year's theme is “Simple Gifts,” as we celebrate our gifts of our art to one another. The words of the old Shaker song seem appropriate at this time. ‘Tis a gift to be simple,’tis a gift to be free, ‘tis a gift to come down where we ought to be. And when we find ourselves in the place just right, ‘twill be in the valley of love and delight. All of your efforts are welcomed with no judgment, rather this will be a celebration of your effort and artistry.

You can show up to two items, so look through your finished quilts, wall hangings and garments and decide which ones you want us to see. If you had a quilt displayed at PIQF, show that one. Not all our members had a chance to see your work at that venue. Our entry form (click here) is online this year and even those who are hesitant have told us how easy it was to fill out.

You will get a reassuring telephone call to confirm that your entry was received. If you need to use a paper form, pick one up at the meetings or drop-in. Questions? E-mail Joan Sextro at:

Deadline to submit your entries is Monday, November 20th.

No stress, no judgment! Let’s have a joyously good time.
