Join the WWII Home Front Quilt Challenge

The WWII Home Front Quilt Challenge focuses on the World War II years, an influential period in American history that continues to impact life in the United States today. Quilts inspired by any aspect of civilian wartime life across the USA are welcomed.

Up to 80 quilts will be chosen by jury for exhibition in an online gallery beginning in March 2014, and at EBHQ's Voices in Cloth 2014 Quilt Show.

To boldly go where no VIC show has gone before......

The 2014 VIC Show will introduce our new Guild Marketplace, a fine fiber arts collection of quilts, wallhangings, wearable art, purses, scarves, etc. all created by our talented and creative guild members and all for sale!!

The Guild Marketplace will replace our former Silent Auction with all items displayed and offered for sale during the two days of our show. Items will be priced from $30 minimum and up. EBHQ will retain 25% of the selling price of each item, or you may donate up to 100% of the selling price to EBHQ.

We welcome you to contribute to our new adventure!!! Please think about what you might want to sell from your collection or make to sell. We have had tremendous response to our lovely Silent Auction items in the past and this is an opportunity for you to make some money, support our guild and for our show visitors to purchase and take home something unique, special and handmade from their VIC visit!

Quilts Made by Children

As in our past quilt shows, we are planning to include an exhibit of quilts made by children. We are looking for those innovative ways that teachers have integrated quiltmaking into all areas of the curriculum. We are encouraging students, in groups or individually, to have fun while making quilts either for their own use or for Children’s Quilts/EBHQ, a program sponsored by our guild.
