Learn to create pattern and add color on fabric with soy wax resist and dye.
This workshop will cover wax preparation, patterning tools and possibilities, direct dye application, curing your fabric, and wax removal. With this information, you can craft one-of-a-kind fabric for virtually any project. Though we will work with cotton, this workshop will also discuss using this process in combination with rayon, linen, and heavier fabrics such as canvas.
Through a combination of in-class instruction, PDFs , and pre-recorded videos, I will walk you through your first explorations of dyeing and patterning with wax resist.
Please read the Supply List. If you choose to order a kit for this class, you must do so by August 1.
