February's Presentation: Featuring a Focus Fabric
Guild member Susan Lambert will present how she makes quilts from just one fabric that has a distinct or unusual image. This can be a repeated image of an animal, such as an elephant, or a repeated image of a person, such as African women in different poses. The elephants and the women are the focus. The piecing and quilting complement and enhance the image, providing a great opportunity for improvisation. Following Susan's presentation, Guild member Susan Gordon will show us how she makes beautiful quilts in a small space in her home during this month's Virtual Open Studio.
More details about our presentations here. Valentine Exchange: We are doing something special in February. Our postcard exchange will be a valentine exchange of any medium. To take part, register by February 10th and mark "Yes" to the postcard exchange question when you register. Sound like fun? Read more about it here.
Virtual Open Studio: Curious how other quilters use their creative space? Want to discover organizational ideas and tips? Please show us your studio at an upcoming Meetup. Participating is a great motivation to organize and clean your space!
