Virtual Lecture - Adventures in Improv

Michelle shares her personal journey of discovering the joy and freedom of piecing without a pattern. She’ll walk you through her creative process, from the first hesitant stitches to the bold quilts incorporating swaths of negative space that followed. This lecture is all about exploration, choosing which rules to embrace, and finding fun in the unexpected twists of improv quilting.

Learn an approach to improv piecing that can make the improv process seem less overwhelming by lessening decision fatigue.

● Explore a variety of variables you can play with to change the look of your wedge quilt.

● Learn how color placement choices affect the overall impact of dramatic lines formed in piecing.

This lecture will not be recorded.
