October's Presentation: Visit to Quiltcon 2025 - Vanina Doce-Mood

QuiltCon is the largest modern quilt show and event in the world, hosted annually by the Modern Quilt Guild (MQG). The event features a quilt show with juried competition quilts, special exhibits like community outreach and youth quilts, lectures, workshops, and a vendor mall. QiultCon 2025 was held in Phoenix, Arizona on February 20-23. Vanina will show her favorite quilts and talk about her city exploration adventures, including visits to the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Latino Arts and Cultural Center, among others.
Block Party: The block for this month is 16-Patch Rail Fence. Feel free to make any variation, wonky or traditional. Much more info here.
Postcard Exchange: PLEASE NOTE: When registering for Quilters Gather, check “yes” to the postcard question ONLY if you want to make and send a fabric postcard in the two weeks following the program. Check “no” if you are not interested.
Show and Tell: Please share your current projects with us. Email photos to EBHQuilters.Gather@gmail.com at least one day before the next session. State the category: Block Party, Color Study, Postcard Exchange, Quilts. Include your full name, title of piece if any, dimensions of quilt or block, a brief story or information about the piece, and/or the postcard partner names. Please note: When you email your images to Quilters Gather you are automatically giving permission for EBHQ to display your work.
