Circles, Circles, Circles -- All Over the Place
    (supply list below)

Circles within circles, elongated circles, split circles, lopsided circles. This workshop says “play in the round” to create an original Fiberart piece. Basic techniques for creating a variety of “circles” will be explored, and then the creative process begins. This is a process class – where the techniques will be taught to jumpstart you toward the creation of your own unique project. In this 2-day workshop, you will have the time to work on a project using the techniques that we have learned.

This is a process class; you will create a variety of samples using various techniques that can be expanded later into your own unique piece of Fiberart.

Capturing Landscapes' Essence in Fabric Collage
    (two day workshop)

In the two-day workshop, you will create a collage from a photo that has “captured your attention.” You will simplify the photo by interpreting its patterns and savoring nature’s tranquility. By slowing down, we can then focus on the essence of your subject and see the big shapes first and the mosaic of colors and their values that will give your landscapes depth.

 Terry Jarrard-Dimond
Saturday & Monday, May 19 & May 21, — Developing Your Shape Vocabulary (two day workshop)

This two day workshop introduces students to techniques that will allow you to develop a personal shape vocabulary. Just as you, use letters to create words and words to create sentences and those sentences create more complex forms of written communication, you can develop a personal shape vocabulary that allows you to create powerful icons and motifs to use in your works of art. These new motifs and icons will be developed and incorporated into a composition. Work is constructed using piecing and raw-edge appliqué and the class is designed for both beginners and intermediate students. Be sure and check out Terry’s website http://www.terryjarrarddimond.com/ and blog http://studio24-7.blogspot.com.
